Thelma, Louise, and the Crazy Cat Ladies!

So yeah. It has been a while since we made an update. Basically, all of us (apart from Emily) are really awful at doing the whole blog thing. I mean geez! In the last like month both Katelyn and Sarah Guinn have moved in (yay!) and there have been plenty of shenanigans. But of all this one of the most exciting (and definitely most cute) things that happened occurred on the eve of Sarah Guinn’s arrival. Sara, Emily, Katelyn and I were all getting back from Frisco at about dusk when we saw two little kittens in our yard! Naturally we went to play with them. One was cream and the other black, but both were so stinkin adorable. I was holding the cream one when it tried to climb on me, which did not turn out well due to the razor sharp claws. I yell out “GEEZ LOUISE!”, and realize that is a perfect name for this kitten. Louise. Katelyn and Emily agreed this was a wonderful name, a name made better when they decided to call the black kitten Thelma. How perfect! We held, played with, and took pictures of Thelma and Louise for a while, and then decided it was time to get them back home. We know they belong to our next door neighbor, so no big deal. We just walked over and dropped the dynamic duo off at home, then headed back to our own. In typical Thelma and Louise style, they raced off after us and met us by the back door. Naturally we had to play with them some more. And take more pictures. In typical kitten fashion they were extremely curious and adventurous, but at the same time soft and sweet. It was really hard not to fall in love with the little tykes! This lasted about an hour and included several attempts to return the kittens to their rightful owners, but every time we took them home they followed us back to the Cherry House. They just like us better apparently. Eventually we set them on their porch next to their cute little cat bed and ran inside our house before we could see them following us. It was so much fun! In other news, we learned all four of us are allergic to cats. Worth it. Emily took close to a hundred pictures, I kid you not, and if we are facebook friends you were bound to see several. Here are some of our favorites:
Emily and Thelma. Looking adorable.

Awww the four of us are amazing.

Oh Hey Louise, just popping out of Katelyn's shirt.

And then also a cute one of these two together!

I tried to hold both, but their endearing spunk made it difficult.

Sara showing off the kitty...

And also letting them roam free when they wished.

The next evening Sarah Guinn moved in, and may I just say living here has been everything we imagined and more.  There is so much fun in our future.
