So, in case you don't know about the Cherry House (why are you reading our blog, then?), we really love Pinterest. If you don't know what that is, well, we'll recommend you go to
pinterest.com immediately. And by immediately, I mean after you finish reading this. :) Honestly, we've had a lot of successes - our house wouldn't be as cute as it is nor would our tummies be as happy without said successes. However, I suppose all good things must come to an end. And last week, our Pinterest success streak came to a burnt, smelly end.
We were all chillin' in the kitchen when we, well mostly me, decided that we needed something sweet. Not just any kind of sweet, though. Something chocolatey and gooey and warm and sweet. Where do we turn? Pinterest obviously. This is what we found:
Looks delicious, right? We liked it firstly because that looks like heaven in a bowl. After following the
original link, we saw that it only required four ingredients and a crock pot. Done! We followed the instructions and awaited the deliciousness that was sure to come.
Within half the time of what the directions said, we noticed a slight burning smell. We opened the crock pot and discovered this:
Notice, the middle is super gooey (first picture) and the edges were burnt to a crisp (second picture). Not really what the recipe was going for. We rescued what we could - the gooey stuff, we put in coffee mugs and then garnished with the cooked (but not burnt) portions of our fail.

| Correctly cooked part of our fail. |
 |
| Sad, burnt cookie/brownie disaster. |
 |
| Sad me, transferring cookie/brownie goop into coffee mugs. |

Despite our Pinterest fail, we are still continuing to do Pinterest activities; there's no stopping us. Needless to say, we have had many a success since this debacle, and I'm sure there will be many more to come; however, we'll keep you updated on our fails to give you fair warning that it won't actually work. Although, in retrospect, I think the main problem with this one was that our crock pot was much larger than what the recipe called for. At least, that's what we're chalking it up to.
